Numbz vs MG-X

Numbz was San Diego's most-requested chewable until concentrated 7-OH was federally scheduled in August 2026. Its regulars split between two mitragynine tabs — this is the MG-X side of that choice: what's actually different, what the panel says, and how to pick between MG-X and Hydroxie.

Picking between the two replacements

When the scheduling landed, Numbz regulars didn’t get one successor — they got a fork. Both lanes are mitragynine, the leaf’s primary natural alkaloid, and neither is part of the federal action. The difference is the tab itself. Dozo MG-X is the flavored concentrated-extract tablet — closest to the grab-a-flavored-tab experience Numbz sold. Hydroxie Mitragynine-A is the 35mg scored tab — built for taking half and seeing where you land, and covered in its own comparison at Numbz vs Hydroxie. Milligrams don’t translate across different molecules, so we won’t pretend they do — the chemistry of why is laid out in MG-X vs 7-OH. What both lanes have that the gas-station shelf doesn’t: a third-party panel we’ll send you for your batch.

Numbz vs MG-X FAQ

Is MG-X a replacement for Numbz?
It’s one of the two places Numbz regulars landed after the August 2026 federal scheduling took concentrated 7-OH off the market. MG-X is a different molecule — mitragynine, the kratom leaf’s primary natural alkaloid, which is not part of the federal action — in a chewable extract tab. We make no potency or effect claims; “replacement” here means the lane people actually moved to, not an equivalence.
MG-X or Hydroxie Mitragynine-A — which is closer to what Numbz was?
Both are mitragynine chewables, so the honest answer is about format, not strength. Hydroxie’s tab is 35mg and scored into two servings — the choice for starting small and stepping in. Dozo’s MG-X tabs are flavored concentrated-extract tablets — the choice if the flavored-tab experience is what you had with Numbz. If you’re torn, packs are small enough to try one of each and settle it yourself.
Why is MG-X legal when Numbz isn’t?
The scheduling is about one molecule, not about tablets. Numbz was built on concentrated 7-hydroxymitragynine, which is what the August 2026 federal action covers. MG-X is built on mitragynine — the leaf’s primary, most abundant alkaloid — with no 7-OH and MGM-15 below the federal threshold, documented on the third-party panel. The in-depth version is on our MG-X vs 7-OH page.
