Buzzers & Homiez: the cat’s-claw claims, examined

The claim, in their words

Most brands in this wave hide behind “proprietary botanical extract.” Buzzers doesn’t: its marketing describes isolating and refining a specific indole alkaloid from the cat’s claw plant so that users “feel something extremely similar to their preferred kratom products” — while containing nothing from the kratom plant itself. Those are Buzzers’ claims, quoted from its own marketing.

Now the published science: cat’s claw’s named alkaloids — mitraphylline, rhynchophylline — show no measurable opioid-receptor binding. So a refined cat’s-claw alkaloid that genuinely mirrors kratom is, by definition, not the chemistry the herb is known for. Which compound is it, at what dose, with what safety data? The marketing doesn’t say, retail listings don’t say, and we’ve seen no published third-party panel that says. That’s not an accusation — it’s the entire problem.
