The short version

Both come from Mitragyna speciosa and both are Hydroxie. The difference is which alkaloid the product is built around. Mitragynine is the leaf’s main event — the large majority of its natural alkaloid content — and Mitragynine-A concentrates that into a 35mg chewable with no detectable 7-OH on the panel. 7-hydroxymitragynine is a minor alkaloid that occurs only in traces naturally, and the 7-OH line is formulated around it instead.

A note on the name

“Mitragynine-A” is Hydroxie’s branding, not a distinct compound — you’ll also see it written MIT-A. It’s the same relationship MG-X has to Dozo. If you want the plain-English version of the underlying alkaloid, start with what mitragynine actually is.

What is the difference between Mitragynine-A and 7-OH?
They’re built on different alkaloids from the same plant. Hydroxie Mitragynine-A is formulated around mitragynine — the primary, most abundant alkaloid in the kratom leaf — and tests with no detectable 7-hydroxymitragynine. The 7-OH line is formulated around 7-hydroxymitragynine, which occurs only in trace amounts naturally. We carry both and make no health claims about either.
Is Mitragynine-A a brand name or a compound?
A brand name. “Mitragynine-A” (also written MIT-A) is Hydroxie’s product name for their enhanced mitragynine line — the same way MG-X is Dozo’s name for theirs. The underlying alkaloid, mitragynine, is what occurs naturally in the kratom leaf.
How strong is a Mitragynine-A tab?
35mg per chewable tablet, scored so it splits into two 17.5mg servings. Hydroxie designed the split for dose control rather than taking a whole tab at once. Check the package for the current batch — formulations change.
Which one should I get?
