What is kava?

Kava is the root of Piper methysticum, a plant native to the South Pacific where it’s been part of social and ceremonial life for centuries. It’s a completely separate botanical from kratom — different plant, different origin, and no kratom or mitragynine in it at all. We carry only third-party lab-tested product and don’t make health claims.

Kava vs the kava-kratom shots

A lot of “kava shots” on the market actually blend kava with kratom — Feel Free, Kanva and Zana Chill all do, at different strengths. Is kava the same as kratom?
No — they’re two different plants. Kava is the root of Piper methysticum, a Pacific Islander botanical used socially for centuries. Kratom comes from Mitragyna speciosa, a different plant entirely. They get grouped together because some shots blend both, but kava on its own contains no kratom and no mitragynine.
What kava do you carry?
The Krave line, which is kratom-free by design. The Krave Kava Shot is a full-spectrum kava root extract in a 2oz bottle. The Krave Mushroom + Kava shot blends the same kava base with reishi and lion’s mane — a 1835mg proprietary blend, GMP-certified and third-party lab tested. Neither has any kratom in it.
Can I get kava anywhere in San Diego?

Why carry kava when you also carry kratom?
